Chocolate-covered strawberries! Nothing says summer like strawberries!

Strawberries and chocolate have been a classic combination since forever. The sweet juicy strawberries paired with the rich and creamy chocolate make for an irresistible dessert. This simple and easy recipe will show you how to make delicious chocolate-covered strawberries in just a few steps.

Basic Ingredients for Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Chocolate and Strawberries:

Chocolate: The type of chocolate used for this recipe can be dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or white chocolate. Dark chocolate has a strong, bittersweet taste, milk chocolate is creamy and sweet, and white chocolate is sweet and milky. The choice of chocolate depends on personal preference.

Strawberries: Fresh, juicy, and ripe strawberries are the key to a successful recipe. Look for strawberries that are plump, firm, and have a deep red color. Avoid strawberries that are soft.

  • If you want to melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, melt in 30 second interval and mix, until the chocolate has fully melted and has a smooth consistency.
  • Coat your strawberries dipped into chocolate with your favorite topping.  I like to sometimes use desiccated coconut or roughly ground almonds, pistachio or nuts of choice.
  • Serve slightly chilled
