Basic Ingredients for Watermelon & Mint Cooler

Watermelon & Mint:

Seedless Watermelon: The star ingredient of the Watermelon Cooler, watermelon provides a sweet and juicy base for the drink. It is hydrating and rich in vitamins A and C, as well as antioxidants.

Fresh Lime Juice: Lime juice adds a tangy and refreshing element to the drink, balancing the sweetness of the watermelon. It also provides a boost of vitamin C and adds a citrusy zing.

Sekanjabeen Syrup: Sekanjabeen syrup is a traditional Persian syrup made from vinegar and sugar, infused with herbs and spices. It adds a unique and complex flavour profile, combining sweetness, acidity, and herbal notes. The syrup enhances the overall taste of the drink and adds a touch of sophistication.

Ginger Ale: Ginger ale adds a sparkling and fizzy component to the cooler, providing effervescence and a subtle spiciness. It complements the other flavours and adds a refreshing twist to the drink.

Mint Sprigs: Mint sprigs are used as a garnish, adding a fresh and aromatic touch to the Watermelon Cooler. They provide a pleasant scent and a burst of herbal flavour.

alternative ingredients

Watermelon: If seedless watermelon is not available, you can use seeded watermelon and strain the puree to remove the seeds before using.

Fresh Lime Juice: In place of lime juice, you can use lemon juice for a slightly different citrus flavour.

Sekanjabeen Syrup: If you cannot find Sekanjabeen syrup, you can substitute it with other flavoured syrups like grenadine or fruit-flavoured syrups. However, note that this will alter the taste and authenticity of the drink.

Ginger Ale: If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, you can substitute ginger ale with sparkling water or club soda. For a twist, you can use flavoured sparkling water like lemon or lime.
